When we talk about domestic production in the defense industry, we usually think only of the final product, such as vehicles or ammunition. However, for a part to truly be considered “domestic,” the machine and software used to produce that part must also be independent of foreign sources. At Tunca Teknik, we are now applying the experience we have gained since 1988 to the critical production lines required by the defense industry today.
Why 100% Domestic Machines?
Defense projects are processes that cannot tolerate errors and require high confidentiality and continuity. Our role in this process is to deploy systems developed with our own engineering, without remaining dependent on imported systems. There are three fundamental pillars to this:
• The CNC software and automation infrastructure used in our machines are developed in-house. This ensures that production data remains closed to the outside and minimizes cybersecurity risks.
• In the defense industry, millimeter precision is not a preference but a necessity when working with difficult-to-process materials such as composites or technical textiles. Our in-house cutting systems have the engineering infrastructure to meet these tolerances.
• The defense industry cannot afford delays. Thanks to our domestic production capabilities, we do not allow production lines to stop, eliminating dependence on external sources for spare parts and technical support.
We don’t just sell machines; we actually offer a production solution network. We provide services across a wide spectrum with our CNC systems, from armored vehicle trim parts to insulation materials used in aviation. We combine our strength in machine manufacturing with our knowledge of technical textiles and polymer raw materials. This enables us to both build the machinery for a defense project and set the standards for the materials to be processed on that machinery.
We view domestic production not as a slogan, but as a standard that eliminates external dependency in our projects and keeps us accessible at all times. As a company with nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, we offer our defense industry partners not “ready-made solutions,” but “reliable solutions” with engineering and software developed in-house. In the production phase of strategic projects, we continue to aim for the highest standards using domestic capabilities.
